Missing OCCC furlough inmate Samuel Campbell tracked through GPS monitor and arrested by State Sheriffs. Faces added escape charge.

Sheriff Division Canine Unit Deputies assisted Sheriff Fugitive Teams with locating and arresting missing Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) work furlough inmate Samuel Campbell. Campbell was wearing an electronic monitor. With the help of OCCC staff relaying coordinates, Sheriffs were able to track him to the Ala Moana Beach Park area. He was arrested at about 10:18 a.m. without incident. Once processed, Sheriffs will return him to OCCC custody. Campbell failed to return from his furlough pass to Module 20 last night.

Campbell is serving time for Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle 1. His next parole hearing is scheduled for July of this year. He now faces an additional escape charge.

He is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
