Residents will have the opportunity to surrender expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and over the counter medication to law enforcement officers for destruction.

Certain restrictions will apply. Intra-venous solutions, injectable drugs and syringes will not be accepted due to potential hazard posed by blood-borne pathogens. Hazardous waste such as mercury (thermometers) will not be accepted. Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamines are not part of this initiative and will not be accepted.
