Fire crews were able to complete a 45 acre underburn today in the Flowery Trail project area. Fire crews plan to continue operations tomorrow in an adjacent unit, pending favorable weather and smoke forecasts. The primary objective is to reduce hazardous fuels and improve wildlife habitat.
Expect to see smoke in that area for several days. We will have fire personnel patrolling and monitoring the area all weekend.
