Deputies arrest a suspect for possession of a stolen vehicle

Felony Committed While out on Bail
LOCATION: 12000 Block of Foothill Blvd.
SUSPECT: Danny Petray, 23-year-old from Riverside
Robert Carriger, 39-year-old from Jurupa Valley
SUMMARY:
On April 25, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department were in the 12000 block of Foothill Blvd., when they located a stolen vehicle in the Bev Mo parking lot. The vehicle was occupied by two male subjects. The vehicle, a 1994 Honda Accord, was reported stolen to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, Carriger and an unrelated subject. Through investigation, deputies learned there was a third subject, Petray, the driver of the vehicle. Petray was found walking away from the scene on Foothill Blvd. but deputies quickly detained him.
Petray and Carriger were both arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center. Petray was booked for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Felony Committed While out on Bail with a $100,000 bail. Carriger was booked for a no bail active warrant for violation of his conditions of Post Release Community Supervision.
