The Newport School District and Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office/ Emergency Management and thirty-four Emergency Response Agencies will participate in a tabletop exercise on April 26, 2018 at the Newport High School.

We anticipate that this exercise will provide an outstanding opportunity to help our local emergency response agencies consider possible challenges our community must be prepared to confront during an active shooter emergency or other disaster.

A tabletop exercise is an activity in which key personnel assigned emergency response roles and responsibilities are gathered together to discuss, in a non-threatening environment, various simulated emergency situations.
