The public's assistance is needed to helping to identify a suspect involved in an assault with a deadly weapon

DATE: April 24, 2018/ 11:02 p.m.

INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Brandishing a Weapon

LOCATION: 5800 Block of Pinto Place

SUSPECT: Hispanic male between 23-25 years old, approximately 5’9, 150 lbs, last seen wearing a black tank top, black pants and black shoes.

SUMMARY:

On April 24, 2018, at 11:02 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to the 5800 block of Pinto Place for an in-progress vehicle burglary. Deputies made contact with the victim who said he received a motion detector alert from outside of his residence, he looked outside and saw an unknown male subject inside his vehicle in his driveway. The victim ran out to his vehicle and tackled the suspect to the ground. The suspect pulled out a green folding knife with the blade exposed. The victim’s wife ran out to assist her husband, but the suspect fled westbound onto Hunt Club Drive.

San Bernardino County Sheriff Department’s Aviation assisted, and K9 Dare was deployed, but the suspect was not located. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 23-25 years old, approximately 5’9”, 150 pounds, last seen wearing a black tank top, black pants, and black shoes.
