Two Men arrested for Possession of a Handgun and Narcotics while officers break down illegal encampment.
On 4/23/18, Officers of the Pomona Police Department’s HEART Program, which handles homeless outreach and illegal encampment enforcement, contacted 2 adult male subjects as part of their routine duties. The subjects were stopped in the park area adjacent to City Hall and the Public Library at an encampment. During a search of the illegal encampment, a loaded .22 caliber handgun with the serial number removed and 43.06 grams of methamphetamine were located in a gym bag. Both subjects were arrested as they both had personal items and Identification in the bag. They were both booked at the Pomona City Jail. Subject Gosha was also found to have additional narcotics on him during the booking process and is a wanted person out of the state of Ohio for a Burglary Probation violation.
