SUMMARY:
On April 23, 2018, beginning at 9:57 am, sheriff’s dispatch received the first of several calls related to suspect Adonis Lebron, assaulting random citizens. At approximately 9:32 am, Lebron entered the Kiowa Market located on Kiowa Road near Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley. He selected a 24 ounce can of beer from the cooler. For an unknown reason he threw the can at the store clerk. The can struck the clerk on the nose causing a severe laceration; Lebron left the store on foot. Deputies conducted an area check, but were unable to locate Lebron.

Several hours later, at approximately 12:14 pm, Lebron entered the Food-4-Less parking lot, in the 20800 block of Bear Valley Road. Lebron approached an adult male who was seated in his work truck. Lebron made small talk about a job, but suddenly opened the driver’s door and tried to pull the victim from the vehicle. The victim struggled to stay inside the truck. Eventually, he was able to start the truck and drive away from Lebron. Lebron crossed the parking lot and approached an employee, adult male, of the Food-4-Less who was retrieving shopping carts. As the employee maneuvered carts he felt his cellphone being pulled from his back pocket. He turned to see Lebron running away from him with his phone. He confronted Lebron who then charged him and threw the phone hitting the victim.

The employee of Food-4-Less called the sheriff’s department. Multiple deputies responded and found the suspect, Adonis Lebron, fleeing south through the parking lot. Lebron was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for PC 203-Mayhem, PC 243(D) – Battery Causing Serious Bodily Injury, PC 245(a)(1)- Assault, PC 211 – Robbery and PC 664/215(A) – Attempted Carjacking. His bail is set at $350,000 and his next scheduled court date is April 25, 2018, at Victorville Superior Court.
