#044 Public Intoxication Arrest
At 8:30 p.m., Officer Soper responded to a call of a woman walking in and out of traffic near Paseo Padre Pkwy and Grimmer.  The caller was concerned for the safety of the female.  A 49 year old adult female was located sitting in a vehicle parked in a no parking zone.  The female was intoxicated and arrested for public intoxication.
 
#049 Possession of a Stolen Vehicle Arrest 
Officer Taylor was assisting with rear containment for the probation search on Higgins Way when he observed suspicious activity across the street on Paseo Padre Pkwy. Officer Taylor observed two subjects near a red Mercedes SUV with paper. Officers shined a flashlight on the subjects and they took off running towards the residence where the vehicle was parked. Five additional vehicles, all with paper plates, were parked near the house.  The red Mercedes SUV was determined to be stolen and officers made contact with the residents. The residents were initially uncooperative so a search warrant was written. Officers located a 27 year old male, Fremont resident hiding under a trampoline in the backyard, who was identified as the subject associated to the stolen vehicle. During the execution of the search warrant, officers found shaved keys, registration for a vehicle which had been stolen, and a credit card skimmer. The 27 year old was arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle as well as for a probation violation.
 
#002 At-Risk Missing Person
An 84 year old male who was possibly suffering from a medical condition had taken his daughters car and not returned after five hours. Officers located the missing persons vehicle near Niles and I Street and began to check the area. A Nixle alert was sent out to the community along with a request for a tracking dog. The missing person was located shortly after. Case investigated by Officer Carter and supervised by Sgt. Dodson.

#011 Possession of Drugs/Violation of Restraining Order
Officer Trzewieczynski and FTO Smith were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle.  The driver, a 36 year old adult male, Fremont resident, was found to be in violation of a restraining order and was also in possession of methamphetamine. 

The shift deployed a couple of units specifically to monitor street racer activity that was reported by Hayward Police earlier in the day.  At approximately 9:30 p.m.,  CHP and Hayward PD reported that approximately 100+ street racers were heading towards the City of Fremont.  At approximately 9:40 p.m., a street racer crashed on the freeway near Fremont South and Auto Mall Pkwy.  CHP handled the accident. 
 
#037 Prowling/Resisting Arrest
Officers were sent to the 35700 block of Augustine Place to ascertain a problem.  Once officers arrived they located a male subject prowling in the back yard or the residence.  Officers reported that the subject was combative and asked for more units to respond.  Officers were able to subdue the combative and he was arrested.  The arrestee was identified as a 54 year old Fremont transient. The suspect was booked into jail on four misdemeanor counts, including being under the influence of a controlled substance, obstructing/resisting arrest, loitering on private property and for a probation violation. 
 
#002 DUI Arrest
Officer Dubowy attempted to stop a vehicle on I680 near Washington Boulevard.  The vehicle continued to obey all traffic laws, but did not yield.  The vehicle eventually exits the freeway at Mission Boulevard and pulls into an apartment complex.  The driver exits the vehicle and is uncooperative.  Officer Dubowy detains the 35 year old driver without further incident.  The driver is found to be intoxicated and is already on probation for felony DUI.  He is arrested for felony DUI and several misdemeanors including driving without an interlock device, evading a peace officer, driving while license is suspended, and a probation violation. The male is found to have had several past DUI arrests.
 
#044 Petty Theft
Officers were dispatched to a possible petty theft at 7-Eleven store on Ellsworth.  Officer LaStrape arrived on scene and observed the possible suspect walking away.  He quickly confirmed with the clerk that a theft had occurred and then attempted to contact the suspect.  The suspect would not stop or comply with orders.  The suspect was eventually detained and learned to be a juvenile.  The juvenile was arrested for theft and obstructing/resisting arrest.  He was issued a notice to appear and released to his father.

#007 Marijuana Grow
At 9:30 a.m., Officer Tatola responded to an abandoned marijuana grow inside a residence located in the 37500 block of Mission Blvd.  Approximately 200 plants were located throughout the residence.  PG&E cut the power in February and it appears the operation was abandoned afterwards.  The Major Crimes Unit was notified.

#022 Warrant Arrest
At 6:51 p.m., Officer Oliveira conducted a traffic stop in the area of Grimmer Blvd and Yellowstone Park Dr. and contacted a 23 year old female, Hayward resident. Following a records check, the female was found to have a $5000 active arrest warrant for a suspended license. The female was arrested, cited out and released.   

#024 Outside Assist/Stolen Vehicle
At 8:30 p.m., Officer Haugh conducted a security check in the Osgood Walmart parking lot, and spotted an unoccupied red Honda Civic listed stolen out of Tracy.  A 27 year old female driver, and a 29 year old male passenger entered the stolen vehicle and drove towards Osgood Rd, then pulled into a gas station on Osgood Rd and Auto Mall Pkwy.  A high risk stop was conducted and both subjects were taken into custody without incident.  The male was found to have an active no bail larceny warrant out of Manteca and the female had a no bail invasion/privacy warrant out of Tracy.  Both were on probation.

#011 Residential Burglary Attempt
A reporting party called to report an alarm activation following notification from her alarm service in the 800 block of Neon Terrace.  Her live video surveillance footage showed a screen had been removed from a window, but the window was intact. Officer Goepp documented this incident.

#005 DUI Arrest
At 1:20 a.m., Officer Gerber found a 22 year old male unconscious behind the wheel of his vehicle in the area of Peralta Blvd and Dusterberry Way.  The male was arrested for DUI.

#020 Drunk in Public
At 11:44 a.m., employees at Philz Coffee reported a male subject yelling at customers and refusing to leave when asked. Officer Tatola contacted a 48 year old adult male transient and arrested him for public intoxication.

#022 Trespassing / Sex Offender Out of Compliance
A resident on Lake Arrowhead Ct. called to report that a male subject entered his residence via an unlocked front door. The resident said the male seemed confused and was acting strange before leaving on foot. Officers Han and Francisco locate a 35 year old adult male Fremont transient and learn he is a 290PC sex registrant who is out of compliance. The male is arrested for failing to register and for trespassing and transported to Santa Rita Jail.

#031 Residential Burglary
Unknown suspect(s) entered a house under construction in the 4100 block of Central Ave and stole construction tools valued at $3000.  Stolen were hammer drills, circular saw, tile saw and pressure washer.  Investigated by CSO Tsai.

#038 Warrant Arrest
At 7:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Fremont Main Library regarding two transients who were believed to be smoking drugs.  Officers contacted two subjects and subsequently arrested a 63 year old for an active drug related warrant.  Investigated by Officer Higgins.

#001 and 002 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
At 1:20 a.m., Officer Vucurevich and Officer Gerber were dispatched to a report of suspicious persons in a parking lot. They contacted a 31 year old male and a 25 year old female.  The male was on probation and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and the female was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.

#004 and 005 Mental Health Evaluation/Arson
At approximately 5:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to a fire at the Domino’s Pizza restaurant on Grimmer Blvd.  The suspect, a 51 year old transient female, started a fire which burned trash on the side of the building.  Fortunately, this building is either brick, or has a brick façade, and the flames only left burn marks on the exterior wall.   The suspect was contacted at the scene by Officer Latimer and was placed on a mental health hold. The case was forwarded to the DA’s office with a recommendation to charge the female with one count of arson.
