Detectives interview a suspect in custody at a LA County jail facility and connect him to a robbery in Rancho in Feb

LOCATION: 12600 block of Foothill Boulevard, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT: Jorge Armando Frias-Sanchez, 33-year-old from Pomona
SUMMARY:
On February 4, 2018, at 7:47 am, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a robbery at the Chevron Gas Station. A Hispanic male adult brandished a black and silver handgun at the clerk and demanded the cash from the register. The clerk complied with the suspect's demands. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction with the money from the cash register.
The investigation was investigated by the Detective Bureau, where they learned the suspect was involved in a series of armed robberies throughout the Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties within recent months. We were notified the Pomona Police Department arrested Frias-Sanchez after being identified as the suspect committing the robberies in their city.
On April 20, 2018, detectives from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department interviewed Frias-Sanchez at a Los Angeles County jail facility for his connection to a robbery in Rancho Cucamonga. Frias-Sanchez is also connected to robberies in Chino Hills, Upland, West Covina and Pomona. The case will be sent to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
