ACCUSED: Donnicka Smith 32-year-old Female // Ocean, New Jersey

NARRATIVE:
On April 21st at approximately 7:31 am, police were notified that a 41-year-old male arrived at Jersey Shore University Medical Center with stab wound to his neck. Officer Daniel Weber responded to hospital to speak with the victim who initially reported that he was attacked from behind while walking his dog at 4:00am.

The victim underwent surgery for the stab wound and was listed in stable condition. Further investigation by detectives revealed that the alleged report of an attack on Bimbler Boulevard was fabricated and that in fact he was stabbed by a female acquaintance, later identified as 32-year-old Donnicka Smith. Following the stabbing he took a cab to the hospital without notification to the police or EMS.

Smith was arrested on April 21st without incident and was charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Child Endangerment. Smith was transported to the county jail pending his initial court appearance.
