Synopsis: An 18 year old male was walking N/B on 58th St. approaching University Ave. with two companions. The male was slightly ahead of his companions, and was approached by a Hispanic male with a heavy build who was walking S/B. The two males engaged in a brief conversation. The conversation became a fight and the victim was punched several times in the face and chest. During the fight the suspect produced an unknown edged weapon and the victim was stabbed. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The victim sustained a minor laceration to his face and right shoulder. The suspect was only described as a Hispanic male with a heavy build, wearing a checkered shirt and dark jeans. Mid-City Division detectives will be handling the investigation.

Synopsis: The victim, a 29 year old male was sitting on a park bench at the above location. The suspect walked up to the victim and asked him for a cigarette. The victim said he didn't have one and the suspect stabbed the victim in the neck. Medics transported the victim to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury. The victim was listed in stable condition. The suspect was last seen Northbound from the scene on a bicycle. The suspect was described as a tanned Asian male wearing a blue jacket and about 5'5" tall. Area detectives responded to the scene and are investigating the incident.
