Simi Police arrest Hot Prowl Burglar. 
On April 20, 2018, at 9:20 am, Simi Valley Police responded to the 1200 block of Newman street after a local resident observed a man entering her house through a “doggie door”. When the man realized that he had been seen he fled the location, jumped a wall into a neighboring backyard and hid under a tarp. Simi Police Officers arrived at the location within four minutes and located the suspect, who was identified as 23 year old Simi Valley resident Trevor Shields. Shields was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail for 459 PC, Residential Burglary. He was also booked for an outstanding narcotics warrant.
