During the week of April 9 -15, 2018, the following crimes were reported in Saugus (Zone 4):

04/09/18
Grand Theft Auto – 29800 Block of Bouquet Canyon Road
Unknown suspect(s) stole a 2006 Carson trailer.

04/09/18
Grand Theft Auto – 20400 block of Alaminos Drive
The suspect stole a 2003 Honda Pilot. On 04/10/18, Lancaster  Sheriff's Station deputies located the stolen vehicle, and arrested a male for grand theft auto.

04/09/18
Grand Theft Auto – 21000 block of Cedarfalls Drive
An unknown suspect stole a 1999 Honda Civic from the location. The vehicle was later recovered in Acton.

04/13/18
Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 22600 block of Fenwall Drive
A known suspect attempted to run over the victim with a vehicle. The suspect was arrested by deputies on 04/17/18.

Reduce your chance of becoming a victim.  
There are several things you can do to reduce your chance of becoming a victim. The most common mistake victims make is not locking their car doors. This simple step would prevent most burglary crimes that are reported to our station. Another helpful tip that you can do is to remove any valuable items from your vehicle. It is common for thieves to look inside your vehicle and see if there is anything of value left in plain view. By removing these items your vehicle becomes less attractive to thieves.
