The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office is taking part in a multi-agency plane crash training exercise at the Sonoma County Airport this morning. The drill will be headed by the Rincon Valley Fire Department and is scheduled to run from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
If you see smoke/excessive emergency vehicles near the airport or hear scanner traffic related to a plane crash, please be advised it is only a training exercise.
There will be 40-50 simulated crash victims who will actually be transported to local hospitals as part of the regional training.
