Police Investigate 4/15 Homicide at Marathon, 2655 N. Highland Ave.
Jackson police are investigating the homicide of Kevin Minter, 26, of Jackson. On April 15, 2018, around 9:45 p.m., police responded to a shooting at the Marathon, located at 2445 N. Highland Avenue. Officers found a black male, later identified as Minter, on the ground near the gas pumps on the northeast side of the building. He was deceased from a gunshot wound.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the victim and suspects arranged to meet at the Marathon. There was a confrontation and Minter was fatally shot. The suspects left the scene in a white 4-door Nissan.
Investigators are attempting to identify two black males in connection with this incident. Surveillance photos are attached.
