INCIDENT: Indoor Marijuana Grow

LOCATION: 10600 block of G Avenue, Hesperia

SUSPECT(S): Ziangyan Zeng, 36 year old male resident of Rosemead; Pei Long Huang, 63 year old male resident of Alhambra

SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, April 11th, at approximately 10:00 a.m., city of Hesperia Code Enforcement officers located a large indoor marijuana cultivation operation inside two commercial warehouses in the 10600 block of G Avenue, in Hesperia.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department - Marijuana Enforcement Team responded to assist and served a search warrant. Detectives located 3,575 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. The grow operations used advanced systems of lighting, air conditioning, fans, exhaust blowers and air-filtering systems to control the climate inside the buildings, as well as to control the odor of marijuana coming from them.

The city of Hesperia has an ordinance prohibiting Commercial Cannabis Activity, which includes growing over six marijuana plants. Additionally, the suspects did not obtain a business license from the city of Hesperia, nor did they have a license from the State of California to cultivate cannabis.

The suspects were booked at the High Desert Detention Center on charges of Cultivation of Cannabis; over six plants.
