Suspect:                      Minh Luong, 35 year old transient  
 
 
Incident Summary:
 
On Sunday April 15, 2018 at approximately 2:10 am Petaluma Police Dispatch received an alarm activation from the Petaluma City Schools maintenance yard.  While officers were responding, the representative reported seeing movement on a security camera after the alarm activation.  Petaluma Police Department officers surrounded the maintenance yard and K9 announcements were made by Officer Joerger.
 
Moments later, Minh Luong surrendered inside the fenced maintenance yard to the K9 announcements without further incident.  During the investigation, officers located evidence that Luong pried open a portion of a fence to make entry into the maintenance yard. Luong was wearing latex gloves and was in possession of pliers, a gas hose, and a face mask.
 
Luong was subsequently arrested for 459 PC - Burglary and 466 PC – Possession of Burglary Tools.  Luong was transported and booked at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility.
