Flood Warning until 11:20PM

...A FLOOD WARNING FOR SMALL STREAMS REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM EDT FOR RANDOLPH...POCAHONTAS...DODDRIDGE...NICHOLAS...TAYLOR... CENTRAL GILMER...LEWIS...BRAXTON...UPSHUR...WEBSTER...BARBOUR AND HARRISON COUNTIES... At 237 AM EDT, county 911 centers reported mainly minor flooding occurring in several locations across the warned area. Automated rain gauges indicate two inches of rain has already fallen in most locations and another inch may fall in some areas before the rain diminishes later in the morning. This will cause current flooding to worsen and additional flooding to develop. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clarksburg, Elkins, Buckhannon, Grafton, Weston, Summersville, Philippi, Richwood, Glenville, Marlinton, Sutton, Greenbank, Audra State Park, Webster Springs, Cass Scenic Railroad, Bridgeport, Shinnston, Belington, Stonewood and Nutter Fort.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
