Flash Flood Watch until 02:00AM Monday

...Heavy rain this afternoon tonight may produce localized flooding... .Heavy showers and storms will cross the region this evening through the early overnight hours. Rain falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour, with a storm total rainfall of 2 to 4 inches, is possible and may lead to flash flooding, particulary in urban and poor drainage areas. ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT MONDAY... The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* A portion of central North Carolina, including the following areas, Davidson, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, and Stanly.

* Until 2 AM EDT Monday.

* Heavy showers and storms will cross the region tonight, ahead of a strong cold front. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible, with a potential storm total rainfall of 2 to 4 inches. This may lead to flash flooding, especially in urban and poor drainage areas.

* Street flooding is possible, especially in areas of poor drainage. Rapid rises on creeks and streams may occur, which could result in flooding on nearby roads and bridges.

* AFFECTED AREAS: DAVIDSON ... FORSYTH ... GUILFORD ... RANDOLPH ... STANLY
