Suffolk County Police have arrested a man for DWI after he crashed his vehicle into a residence in Bayport this morning.
Kevin Sheehan, Jr. was operating a 2013 Ford Fusion on Bayport Ave. when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a garage attached to a house at 482 Bayport Avenue near Davis Street this morning at 12:08 a.m.
The driver fled the scene in the vehicle. Fifth Precinct Patrol officers were able to identify and locate the driver and vehicle. There were no injuries.
Sheehan, 20, of Blue Point, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene, and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th Degree.
He is being held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
