* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas for... Southwestern St. John The Baptist Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southeastern St. James Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Northwestern St. Bernard Parish in southeastern Louisiana... St. Charles Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Orleans Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Terrebonne Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Lafourche Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Jefferson Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Northwestern Plaquemines Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
* Until 115 PM CDT.
* At 1016 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. In areas where rain has yet to start, a rapid accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is likely in 1 to 2 hours duration.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Orleans, Houma, Thibodaux, Cut Off, Metairie, Hahnville, Laplace, Marrero, Chalmette, Galliano, Avondale, Larose, Harvey, East New Orleans, Timberlane, Belle Chasse, Reserve, Jefferson, Gretna and Harahan.
