The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Northeastern St. John The Baptist Parish in southeastern Louisiana... St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southeastern Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Washington Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southeastern Walthall County in southern Mississippi... Western Hancock County in southern Mississippi... Pearl River County in southern Mississippi...

* Until 115 PM CDT.

* At 1014 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Slidell, Bogalusa, Picayune, Covington, Poplarville, Pearl River, Abita Springs, Varnado, Madisonville, Folsom, Sun, Pearlington, Lacombe, Enon, Crossroads, Bush, Mcneil, Angie, Slidell Airport and W Lk Pontchartrain Buoy. Additional rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ST. TAMMANY
