Episode 4 of video series “Lowcountry Law: A Look Inside of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office” now on YouTube.
Sheriff P.J. Tanner encourages Beaufort County residents and guests to stay informed on issues surrounding public safety. To raise awareness of the many services provided by the Sheriff’s Office, a video series, “Lowcountry Law: A Look Inside of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office,” was launched and premiered on February 2, 2018.
The first video segment provided an overview of the Firearms Training Simulator (FATS), which trains and better prepares our local law enforcement officers in use-of-force situations. The second video segment featured the Sheriff's Office Forensic Services Laboratory and its various capabilities and the third video segment provided an overview of the Sheriff’s Office Bloodhound and Patrol K-9 units.
The fourth video segment of "Lowcountry Law" has been uploaded to the Sheriff's Office YouTube page and is now available for you to view. The fourth segment provides an overview of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit and its various functions: to assist in the search for missing children, endangered adults or at-large criminal suspects; to assess conditions in Beaufort County following a hurricane or tropical storm; or to engage the community in events, such as National Night Out.
