Are you ready for the BIG ONE? Disaster Preparedness Workshop Tuesday, April 10 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Joslyn Center
Did you feel it? A Magnitude 5.3 earthquake occurred off the Channel Islands at about 12:30 p.m. today. The USGS reports there is NO threat of a tsunami from this quake. There are no reports of damage in Manhattan Beach at this time.
This serves as a reminder to always be prepared for “the big one.” Are your emergency kits packed and ready?
Mayor Amy Howorth invites you to get prepared at the City of Manhattan Beach Disaster Preparedness Workshop! Following the successful presentation by Dr. Lucy Jones in November 2017, Mayor Howorth will help you learn what you can do to keep your family safe in the event of an emergency. Get disaster checklists, sign-up for emergency notifications, and even purchase your own kit!
