Incident: Theft and brandishing a firearm/warrant search

Date/Time Occurred: 03/27/2018 8:30 PM
Incident Case Number: 1803-2200
Suspect: Phillip Carter, 30, M, Tracy
Charges: 417 (a)(2) PC and 484 (a) PC
Narrative: Officers responded to Target for a theft in progress on Tuesday 03/27/2018. The suspect Identified as Phillip Carter brandished a firearm to escape prior to officer’s arrival.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for Carters arrest and served the warrant on Wednesday April 4th, 2018. Several firearms were located along with several airsoft guns that had a realistic appearance.
Carter was arrested and the firearms were recovered and placed into evidence. Carters is currently active to probation for possession of concealed firearm and theft.
