#039 Strong-Arm Robbery
At 8:16 p.m., Officer Catassi was flagged down by a female who advised she was just the victim of a strong arm robbery near Fremont Blvd. and Bidwell Dr. During the incident the victim’s IPhone 8 and purse was stolen. The suspect was described as a Black female adult about 35 years old. She was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans and a scarf was covering her face. She got into a vehicle, possibly driven by a second female suspect.
#037 Criminal Threats
At 4:28 p.m., Officer A. Miller and FTO Taylor responded to the Police Department lobby regarding a request for a welfare check. It was learned that a male was threatening to harm himself and others. The male had made similar threats in the past. As a result of past cases, firearms had previously been seized by a CAL-DOJ Firearms Unit. On this date, the male made repeated threats to kill himself and others. While officers obtained a Ramey Warrant for criminal threats additional patrol officers formulated the tactical plan to serve the warrant. At 1:00 a.m., announcements were made at the residence. A breaching team was sent to the front door and forced entry. A K9 conducted a search of the residence and located the suspect in a rear bedroom. The suspect immediately complied upon hearing the K9. He was arrested for his warrant and interviewed by officers before being sent for a mental health evaluation. He will be booked on criminal charges once he is released.
