Advisory

Lake Livingston discharge rate REDUCED to 67,100 cfs

Lake Livingston discharge rate REDUCED to 67,100 cfs.

The Romayor gauge is currently at 38.29 and should be at or near crest. No additional rises anticipated here through the weekend.

Liberty gauge is at 28.55 and rising, with the National Weather Service saying the river will reach 29.8 ,however, this estimate has gone back and forth for days so we will have to see where it lands.

The Moss Bluff gauge is at 12.26 and is expected to crest around 15 feet early next week.

Menard Creek area residents can rest easy as the creek is rapidly falling and will be out of flood stage by tomorrow morning if not sooner.

Continue to monitor local media for updates, please tell your Easter holiday visitors to stay away from the river until conditions improve. All the sandbars they like to relax on during beautiful weather like this are all under water and the river current is very dangerous.

We have no reports of water in homes, we do have water over roads in some of the subdivisions around the river, no shelters are open and none anticipated to open at this time.

Will update as warranted...
