Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department East Los Angeles Station advises one of their deputies received minor injuries following a suspected DUI driver colliding his vehicle. The incident occurred near 6^th Street and Ferris Avenue, Los Angeles, on Friday, March 30, 2018 at approximately 9:38 p.m.

While a deputy and his partner were conducting a traffic stop at the location, a passing vehicle collided with the patrol vehicle, causing minor damage. The driver of the vehicle was immediately detained by the deputies.

One of the deputies sustained minor injuries during this incident. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated and has since been released.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the traffic collision and subsequently arrested the male Hispanic adult driver for driving under the influence.
