Homeowner in Pinion Hills holds burglary suspect at gunpoint until deputies arrive

INCIDENT: ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
LOCATION: 10100 block of Mountain Road, in Pinon Hills
SUSPECT: Marvin Harper, 55-years-old, resident of Pinon Hills
SUMMARY:
On Friday, March 30, 2018 at 1:49am, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station received a 911 call regarding a male attempting to break in to a residence in the 10100 block of Mountain Road in Pinon Hills.
The owner of the residence was inside the home at the time, and observed the suspect, Marvin Harper, trying to break in. Harper tried breaking into the home through three different points of entry before being confronted by the victim. The victim held the suspect at gunpoint until deputies arrived.
Marvin Harper was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center. He is currently being held in lieu of $125,000.00 bail.
