March 19th
Armed Robbery
7100 block Santa Monica Blvd
03/19/2018 @ 10 pm. A man removed two tents and left the store without payment. When confronted by store security, another man who was with the suspect sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray. Both suspects then fled the area on foot. Loss $180. #01770
 
March 20th

8000 block Norton Avenue
03/20/2018 @ 5:30 am. An unknown suspect removed copper wire from the unsecured construction site. Loss $15K. #01780
 
Vehicle Burglary
7100 block Santa Monica Blvd
03/20/2018 @ 4 pm – 12:05 am. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed a laptop computer, purse, makeup bag, and clothing from the back seat and rear floorboard. Loss $2070. #01792
 
March 21st
Aggravated Assault - Knife
7200 block Santa Monica Blvd
03/21/2018 @ 9:25 pm. Two women were walking on Santa Monica Blvd when a male crossed their path and mumbled an incoherent statement. The suspect threw a knife at the victims but it missed them and landed in the street. The suspect then hit one of the victims on her back with his fists and then fled the area on Santa Monica Blvd. The suspect was arrested later that same evening after committing a similar incident. #01812

La Brea Avenue / Lexington Avenue
03/21/2018 @ 11:55 pm. Two women were walking on the sidewalk when a male crossed their path and mumbled an incoherent statement. The victims saw the suspect was holding a knife, so they walked across the street to avoid him. The suspect ran after the women and stabbed one of them on her left arm. The suspect then ran away on La Brea Avenue. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect and also linked him to another assault (#01812) that occurred earlier in the evening.  #01817.

03/21/2018 @ 12:20 am. A man was unlocking his front gate when two men approached him from behind and struck him on the head with an unknown object. The victim fell to the ground and one of the men pointed a handgun at him and demanded his money. The victim yelled for help and the suspects fled the area on foot. No loss. #01794

03/21/2018 @ 12 am. An unknown suspect ransacked the interior and removed a spare key from the glove box. No sign of forced entry. Loss $400. #01810

03/21/2018 @ 10:20 pm – 10:30 pm. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a passport and phone cable from the back seat. Loss $245. #01816

Aggravated Assault - Hands, Fist, Feet
Melrose Avenue / Robertson Blvd
03/22/2018 @ 2:30 am. Two men were walking SB on Robertson Blvd when they heard a racial epithet come from a group of men that were walking directly behind them. The victims confronted the suspects and a verbal argument ensued, which quickly escalated to a physical fight. One of the victims was punched and kicked several times and the other victim was punched one time in the face. #01818

Curson Avenue / Lexington Avenue
03/22/2018 @ 11:30 pm. A man was standing on the corner of Curson Avenue / Lexington Avenue with his phone in his hand when a man approached him from behind and grabbed him in a bear hug. The victim and the suspect fell to the ground, which caused the victim to drop his phone. A second suspect that was standing nearby ran over and picked up the victims phone. Both suspects ran to a nearby car and fled the area. Loss $1100.

03/23/2018 @ 3:43 am. An unknown suspect smashed the front glass door to gain entry and removed a cash register containing $300 cash. Loss $1250. #01841

03/23/2018 @ 8 pm – 9 pm. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed two suitcases containing clothing, a backpack containing a laptop computer, key, and ID, and another backpack containing a makeup bag and soda stream machine from the interior. Loss $6500. #01868

03/23/2018 @ 8:30 pm – 8:30 pm (next day). An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed two shopping bags containing clothing from the interior. Loss $1600. #01890
