Garrett Dimond arrested for felony assault after shooting victim with a pellet gun

SUSPECT: Garrett Dimond, 32 years of age, in Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, March 24, 2108, at 5:55pm, Deputy Kraft from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of an assault in the 22400 block of Rancho Street in Apple Valley.
The adult male victim was riding his quad down a utility easement when a male came out of a residence and shot him in the back with a pellet gun. The victim was bleeding from an injury to his back and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
On Monday, March 25, 2018, Deputy Kraft made contact with Garrett Dimond at the residence on Bella Vista Street. Through the investigation, it was leaned Diamond was upset with the victim riding his quad near his residence, got a pellet gun from the inside, and shot the victim in the back.
Dimond was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center where he is currently being held in lieu of $50,000.00.
