SMPD Investigates Bomb Threat at an Office Building 
Today, at around 9:10 a.m., San Mateo Police Officers responded to 1400 Fashion Island Blvd on a report of a bomb threat that was found written on a note in a bathroom. Officers arrived on the scene and evacuated the building. A thorough and methodical search was conducted of the building with the assistance of a San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Explosives Ordinance Detection K9. The building was deemed safe and the threat was determined not to be credible. Our officers are currently investigating the incident and identity of the person who wrote the note.
