SMPD Arrest Sex Offender for Sexual Assault of a Woman 
On Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at around 5:11 p.m., San Mateo Police responded to the first block of 42nd Ave on a report of a man and woman engaging in sexual activity in a parking lot. When officers arrived at the location, they located an adult woman who was intoxicated and at points unresponsive. The victim expressed to officers that the sexual contact with the unknown man was against her will. Our officers spoke with a witness that provided a description of the man and direction of where he fled.
Our officers immediately conducted a thorough search for the man and located him a short distance away. The man was identified as 34-year-old Eli Joseph Walker. Walker was found to be a registered sex offender and was identified as the man who assaulted the victim. Walker was arrested for various charges and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
SMPD is thankful to the alert community member who immediately contacted police and enabled the quick capture of a sex offender.

Attempted Rape of an Intoxicated Victim, Oral Copulation of an Intoxicated Victim, Sexual Battery of a Subject that is Severely Disabled, Assault to Commit Rape, and Probation Violation.
