On 03/08/18, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s West County Street Narcotics Team concluded a month long narcotic investigation into the drug trafficking activities of Omar Frias and Guadalupe Sandoval, both of Santa Paula, after receiving information they were supplying methamphetamine to residents of Ventura County. On 3/08/18, at approximately 1700 hrs, Detectives from the West County Street Team detained Frias and Sandoval during a traffic stop near the City of Santa Paula. A search warrant was then executed on their persons, vehicle and residence. During the search, approximately 5 pounds of methamphetamine, one pound of heroin and several ounces of cocaine were seized. The above mentioned drugs were packaged for sale in various quantities. A large sum of U.S. Currency believed to be the proceeds of narcotic sales was also seized in addition to two handguns. Frias and Sandoval were arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail on narcotic violations. Frias and Sandoval posted bail and are currently awaiting arraignment at their next court date. The West County Street Narcotics Team is comprised of narcotic detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the Port Hueneme Police Department and the Oxnard Police Department. |
