Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports of Breaking and Entering to motor vehicles and Larcenies from motor vehicles on March 17th 2018. All of the incidents were in the area of Tanners Grove Road and the Holly Hills neighborhood of Rutherford County.
Detectives with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division were able to link Christopher Michael Barnes to these crimes.
Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Investigators charged Christopher Michael Barnes with a total of 9 counts of Break or Enter a Motor Vehicle and 4 counts Misdemeanor Larceny stemming from these crimes. Christopher Michael Barnes is in custody at the Rutherford County Jail under a $20,000 for the above charges.
Barnes has an extensive criminal history and was recently released from prison where he served a sentence for Breaking and Entering to Motor Vehicles and Assaulting a Law Enforcement Officer. Barnes is currently on parole and has violated his condition of parole. Barnes is under a $35,000 bond for 3 counts of Felony Probation Violation plus a no bond on his parole.
