Press Release: Car Burglary Arrest

LOCATION: 2114 Highway 35 Parking lot of Save Rite Liquors
OFFICERS INVOLVED: Detectives Raheem Carter, Christopher Brady and Detective Sergeant Gregory Tongring
ACCUSED: Javar J. Johnson, 34 year-old-male from Ocean, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On March 22nd detectives were in the area of the Save Rite Liquors (2114 State Highway 35 South) when they observed a male meandering around the parking lot. The male later identified as Javar Johnson was then observed peering into vehicle, quickly entering and exiting the same vehicle while placing something in his jacket. Upon seeing this detectives moved in and stopped Johnson.
Further investigation revealed that Johnson did not have permission to enter the unlocked vehicle and remove cigarettes. He was arrested for burglary and theft, processed and transported to the county jail pending his initial court appearance.
