6:30PM NEW Weather Forecast Lowers Snow Totals – Road Conditions Expected to Be Fair for Thursday Commute

The South Brunswick Office of Emergency Management has just received the latest local weather forecast. Snow is expected to end by midnight and snow totals have been dropped. South Brunswick Township Public Works Snow Plow Crews are making steady progress and it is anticipated that conditions will be fair for the morning commute.

Drivers need to leave extra time and make sure snow is cleared from the vehicles as they head out to school and work in the morning.

UPDATED FORECAST -
Evening Update...Snow continues and thus far, we have seen 3.5 - 7 inches on colder surfaces across Central Jersey. Pavements have been a lot less, however as the snow has gotten heavier and the sun angle has lowered they are covering and continuing to build up. As we go through the evening, expect another 3-6 inches of accumulation as waves of moderate to heavy snow continue all the way to late evening or midnight.  With the loss of daylight this evening, pavements will continue building up in accumulation, however final amounts will be a lot less compared to what is/has been seen on grassy surfaces.
