As the Borough of Caldwell prepares for our latest nor’easter, we remind residents we are under a snow emergency, limiting vehicular traffic to essential travel, and prohibiting any on street parking.
Please avoid all downed wires or anything they may be in contact with. Do not use generators inside or in close proximity to buildings as carbon monoxide is deadly. Check on the elderly or in need neighbors. If you can do so, help our volunteer fire department by shoveling out your fire hydrant.
Our warming/charging center, located on the second floor of Caldwell Fire Headquarters, 30 Roseland Avenue is open today and tomorrow from 12:00 – 6:00 PM. If overnight or long term sheltering is required, residents can access a list of county shelters available at www.nj211.org or text 211 for more information.
