Alert

Predictions are for 8-14 inches of heavy snow, with winds up to 30 mph. Power outages are expected. See email for further instructions

From West Amwell Township Emergency Management:

Another winter storm is coming our way. Predictions are for 8-14 inches of heavy snow, with winds up to 30 mph. Power outages are expected. Be prepared by having extra water on hand, and fuel for generators. Do Not run a generator in a confined space. Carbon Monoxide is a silent killer.

In the very likely event of power outages, do not call 9-1-1 unless the wire is on fire or it is causing a life threatening emergency. Do call Jersey Central Power and light at 1-888-544-4877 (1-888-LIGHTSS). Even if you believe that your neighbor may have called in the outage, please call them.

We will be monitoring Facebook, and will be in contact with JCP&L. The Public Works Department, The Police Department, West Amwell Fire Company, Lambertville New Hope Ambulance & Rescue Squad, and Amwell Valley Ambulance Corps are all in preparation mode at this point.

Take a moment to tell a friend about Nixle. They can sign up through the Township's website www.westamwelltwp.org
