Deputies recover stolen vehicle during traffic stop, driver arrested.

DATE: March 18, 2018/ 4:30 p.m.

INCIDENT: Possession of a Stolen Vehicle

LOCATION: Milliken Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT: Steve Hernandez, 30 year-old from Mira Loma

SUMMARY:

On March 18, 2018, at 4:30 p.m., Deputy Manning from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Station found a stolen vehicle while patrolling the area of Milliken Ave. and Foothill Boulevard. The 2015, black, Toyota Tundra was reported stolen in the City of Riverside. Deputy Manning and other deputies coordinated a traffic stop of the stolen vehicle; which was occupied by three subjects.

The driver of the suspect vehicle pulled over and complied with the deputies orders. Hernandez and two occupants were detained for the investigation. Deputies learned Hernandez acted alone when he stole the car and the passengers were released concluding the investigation.

Hernandez was subsequently arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center with a bail of $50,000.
