Details: On March 16, 2018 at 2:14 PM, CPD officers responded to the 1000 block of Bainum Avenue regarding a vehicle colliding into a tree and several parked vehicles. On arrival, officers made contact with the motorist involved in the traffic accident, and he was identified as Kinsino Mireles Martinez (age 30). Martinez did not sustain any injuries from the collision, due to the air bags being deployed in his vehicle. Witnesses at the scene reported hearing a loud bang when Martinez drove his vehicle into the front yard of a residence damaging three parked vehicles and striking a tree. Officers saw that Martinez was displaying symptoms of intoxication and he was subsequently arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Martinez later provided a breathalyzer test which showed he had a BAC (blood alcohol content) level above .08%. A records check of Martinez showed he had three prior DUI convictions within a ten year period. Martinez was booked for felony DUI charges, because of his prior convictions, and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license. Martinez was later booked at the Kings County Jail where his bail is set at $50,000.00.
