LOCATION: Target - 2331 State Highway 66, Ocean, NJ.
OFFICERS INVOLVED: Police Officers Brendan Bernhard, Zach Rhein and Detective Jesse Orbach
ACCUSED: Junior Manasse 29-year-old Male // Long Branch, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On March 17th at approximately 6:14pm, Junior Manasse of Long Branch was in the Target store and asked for assistance from an employee in the electronics department. The employee removed a drone valued at $999.99 from the locked cabinet. Manasse forcibly grabs the item from the employee, brandishes a hammer and flees the store.
Police Officer Brendan Bernard and Zach Rhein took Manasse into custody in the parking lot after a brief struggle. Manasse was charged with Robbery, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Resisting Arrest. He was also charged with Shoplifting from an incident that occurred the day before. He was transported to the county jail pending his initial court appearance.
