Sinkhole Repairs - Harrison Street between 6th St in Oakland and the Alameda entrance to the Posey Tube. 
On Friday afternoon the Oakland Department of Transportation (DOT) staff confirmed that a sinkhole discovered earlier this week had grown and requires a safety closure of the eastbound lefthand lane of Harrison Street between 6th Street in Oakland and the Alameda entrance to the Posey Tube. That closure has been implemented.
The cities of Oakland and Alameda are coordinating with CalTrans on the lane closure and repairs are being fast-tracked. The lane closure will likely continue through next week, and residents and businesses are advised to expect traffic delays.
OakDOT will provide an update on repairs on Monday.
