A six-week investigation into possession of child pornography ended Thursday with the arrest of 26-year old Anthony Smith of Suisun. In late January, the Fairfield Police Department's Electronic Crimes detective learned of possible child pornography being downloaded in the Fairfield area. Upon further investigation Det. Pereira was able to determine that the suspected child pornography was being downloaded at a residence in the 1000 block of Murre Way, Suisun.
In February detectives from the Fairfield Police Department's Investigations Bureau served a search warrant at the residence and collected various electronics. After reviewing the items that were seized it was determined that Anthony Smith was in possession of numerous files of child explicit material.
On Thursday, March 15th detectives arrested Anthony Smith and booked him into Solano County Jail for possession of child pornography. A photo is attached to this release.
