District Attorney files misdemeanor charges against Harold Dien for a sexual assault on a female juvenile

SUSPECT: Harold Dien, 57 years old, resident of Colton
VICTIM: Confidential female
SUMMARY:
On February 5, 2018, Deputy B. Ortiz responded to investigate a Child Protective Services (CPS) referral regarding possible child abuse. An investigation was initiated and several persons including the minor victim were interviewed. Based on information obtained during those interviews, Harold Dien was identified as the alleged perpetrator.
Deputy Ortiz determined Harold Dien is a Pastor at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, however the criminal acts did not occur on church property.
On February 6, 2018, Harold Dien was contacted and interviewed. Based on the totality of the investigation, the case was forwarded to the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office for review.
On Thursday, March 15, 2018 the District Attorney filed misdemeanor criminal charges against Harold Dien.
