Join your neighbors, and have "Coffee With a Cop" on Tuesday, March 20th from 8:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. or between 4:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. at It's A Grind Coffee House located at 29641 The Old Road, Castaic. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Deputy Brian Rooney, who serves as the Castaic/Val Verde Crime Prevention Zone Leader, will be joined by local California Highway Patrol officers during the morning session. No agenda or speeches, just a chance to have coffee and conversation, ask questions, or voice concerns.  

“We believe that having good communication with our residents and business owners is very important," said Crime Prevention Unit Deputy Brian Rooney. "When citizens living in a neighborhood work together and report suspicious behavior to the sheriff's station, the opportunities for a potential criminal to commit a crime are greatly reduced. This strong communication helps maintain a high level of public safety in our Valley," he said.
