Petaluma Police Officer Assigned to DEA Task Force
Selected as Sonoma County Police Officer of the Year
Petaluma, California – The Petaluma Police Department is proud to announce DEA Task Force Officer (TFO) Mike Page has been selected by the Sonoma County Law Enforcement Chief’s Association as the Exchange Club Police Officer of the Year for 2017.
TFO Mike Page has been assigned to the DEA Task Force for approximately three and a half years. He was nominated by DEA Task Force Supervisor, Resident Agent in Charge (RAC) Ryan Sibbald. RAC Sibbald, among TFO Page’s many other contributions in 2017, recognized him for his hard work and investigation to take down a large international drug smuggling ring that involved the seizure of 569 pounds of methamphetamine, an airplane used to smuggle the drugs, and more than $750,000 in assets.
In addition to being selected as the Sonoma County Police Officer of the Year, his efforts on this case also earned him the 2017 Enrique "Kiki" Camarena award from Petaluma Elk’s Lodge 901. This annual award is given to a local law enforcement officer who has significantly impacted drug trafficking in honor of DEA Agent Enrique Camarena who was killed in the line of duty.
TFO Mike Page was honored on Wednesday evening at the annual dinner hosted by the Exchange Club of Santa Rosa at the Flamingo Hotel.
