Steven Wilson was identified and arrested on 03-15-2018 for a burglary occurring at a Hilton Head Plantation residence in which approximately $7000 in jewelry was taken. The victim, who was watching a live feed video of surveillance inside of their home after receiving an activity alert, observed someone walking around inside of the home. They contacted the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office who responded and found the residence unsecure. The victim provided access to the video to BCSO and identified the subject as Steven Wilson, a person who had worked in the residence a few weeks prior. Investigators immediately began trying to locate Wilson. He was found near the Hilton Head Wal-Mart at approximately 2200 hrs. Wilson was interviewed and confessed to the Burglary. Wilson was placed under arrest and charged with Burglary 2nd degree and Grand Larceny. Wilson also cooperated with investigators in providing the location of the stolen jewelry. The items were recovered and returned to the victim.
