Storm Quinn.. Residential Debris Cleanup

Township Commits to Resident Debris Cleanup due to Storm Quinn

Due to the intense effects of Storm Quinn that impacted Warren Township on March 7, 2018, the Township Committee is directing the Department of Public Works to collect tree debris and brush from all Warren Township residents.

The collection process will begin on April 2, 2018.  Due to the massive undertaking of this project, residents are asked to adhere to the following instructions or your yard debris will not be removed by the Township:

  • Storm debris must be next to the curb by April 2, 2018, or it will not be picked up.  This date has been selected to provide residents with sufficient time to gather and prepare the debris for pickup.
All debris must be placed behind the curb and not in the street.  If debris is left in the street, the police department will be called to enforce and debris will not be picked up.
  • All branches/limbs must be no longer than 6 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter.  Any debris longer than 6 feet or larger than 6 inches in diameter will not be picked up.
Please stack branches neatly with the trunk ends facing the road.  If any brush is entangled it will not be picked up.
  • All roads will be visited one time only.  If brush is not by the curb when collection crews arrive, the material will not be picked up and there will not be a return trip to your location.
Due to the severity of the aftermath from Storm Quinn, the Township Committee has authorized this collection program.  The Township does not have the capability for chipping debris larger than the diameter specified, and as such cannot remove it.  The Township will be posting a map on our website [warrennj.org] indicating the streets that have been completed.  This map will be posted after April 10, 2018.

Thank you for your cooperation.
